Fee Refund Policy

Introduction

Purpose The purpose of this document is to provide transparency for Business Professionals Education Center (BPEC) students in the application and administration of refunds and course transfers.

BPEC will ensure that all contractual partners will adhere to this policy

Policy Statement BPEC will ensure that all students have the information their need to make an informed decision prior to making payments

Definitions “Fees paid in advance” are defined as fees paid prior to the start of a year, a course or a term. Fees paid prior to the start of a unit or a month are not considered to be paid “in advance”.

Scope This policy applies to all students enrolled at BPEC: either directly or through one of their contractual partners.

• The Director General is responsible for the implementation and development of this policy.

• The Finance Manager is responsible for the application of this policy.

• Head of Administration is responsible for the transfer of information to the student prior to payment


Course transfers

There is no charge for transferring your enrolment to a later time. This can be done without penalty.

No refund will be made in the event of a transfer.

Requests to transfer a course must be made in writing to the registrar.


Course transfers

The first fee payment is due when the course starts and payments are made monthly throughout the duration of the course. Therefore, cancellation of enrolment prior to the start of the course can be done without penalty.


Cancellation of enrolment by student

If a student cancels their enrolment, the notification of that cancelation must be in writing to the Registrar.

If the student cancels their enrolment during the course, there is no refund of fees already paid and the student will not be required to pay anything further. All registration or admission fees are not refundable under any circumstance.


Non-attendance

If a student fails to attend at least 2 consecutive classes without notice, BPEC will assume the student wish to cancel their enrolment.


Cancellation by the BPEC

BPEC reserves the right to cancel a course without prior notice. In the event of a course being cancelled, participants will be notified immediately and a full refund of any course fees paid will be made. No compensation will be paid for any additional costs incurred.

In cases where refund is applicable as stated above, payments shall only be made through the original mode of payment.
